Well i have finally about to complete my Academy 1/48 Mig 29 kit... yeah sure after real long time... this kit was assembled , almost 4 month back, and just the painting job was remainig. But my college schedule, getting paints and of course the indian airforce decals took a hell of a time, but since my examz got over last week, i immediatedly took the plane again, i couldnt see the poor plane lying on the shelf, unfinsihed and uncomplete.
well getting the paint right for this indian air force camo shade of 28th squadron was damn difficult, it was two tone scheme, with greyish green camo. well though indian airforce is slowly replacing paint schemes of the all aircrafts with boring, low visibility grey scheme, luckily for me 28th squadron aircrafts still sports colorful tail, i.e yellow red combi, which looks damn good, much better than complete grey (my parents and sister says tht sumtimes all my 5 kits look the same!! bad!! ).. except the mi-25 hind desert camo!
So finally, i have really given my best efforts in for this kit, after learning from the mistakes for previous 5 kits, like i have put more efforts into sanding, so tht the lits looks smooth, plus this time cockpit came out real well, after all what does one except from a academy poor cockpits!! neverthless, the paint job is complete, with camo coming, perfect.... now wht remainig is decal application and assembling landing gears and missiles!
So probably this kit will be standing on its own feet( i mean wheels).. complete!!
